GP practices near you

See how patients describe their own practice in the 2026 GP Patient Survey and how soon appointments take place, with the margin of error shown beside every figure.

For example TS3 6AL, or the first half only (LS1). Your browser looks the postcode up with postcodes.io; we do not receive or store it.

Each practice is placed at the centre of its postcode, not at its building, so practices that share a postcode share a point. Click a point to see every practice there.

Or browse the 296 local authority areas, or see the best-rated GP practices in England.

What the rating is

  • Two measures the NHS uses: the share of patients who describe their practice as good in the GP Patient Survey, which Ipsos runs for NHS England (70%), and the share of appointments within two weeks of booking (30%).
  • A comparison with the England average, with a 95% margin of error.
  • One of two labels when the margin of error supports it: “clearly above” or “cannot be told apart from” the England average.
  • The number of answers behind every figure.

What it is not

  • Not a list of the worst. We list the best-rated practices in England and in each area, and never the lowest.
  • Not an inspection. The Care Quality Commission’s rating is shown separately.
  • Not about one doctor, and not a measure of clinical outcomes.
  • Not paid for: no practice can buy or change its result.

6,090 of 6,163 open practices in England have enough answers to be rated. How the rating works.
