Ranking: share within two weeks, highest first

The practices with the highest share of appointments within two weeks of booking come first. Only practices with at least 100 appointments in the month are ranked; a high share on a handful says nothing. On an equal share the larger number of appointments comes first, and when both are exactly equal the practices share a place. The number of appointments and the month are on every row.

How we count, source and method

The figures are NHS England’s Appointments in General Practice: for each practice and month, the appointments that took place, and how long after booking, in the categories of NHS England’s measure ACC-08. Each practice is shown with its latest month.

• The ranking needs enough appointments. Only practices with at least 100 appointments in the month are ranked, the same threshold as when appointments count towards the Practice Grade.
• The data are official statistics in development. They come from practices’ booking systems, practices record differently, and the time from booking is not the whole wait.
