Fact box: GP practices in Slough

GP practices in Slough: patient survey and appointments
Slough has 13 open GP practices, and all of them had enough answers in the 2026 GP Patient Survey to be rated.
The 13 rated practices had 1,189 answers between them to the survey’s question on overall experience.
The Practice score weighs patient experience, the share of patients who describe their practice as good (70%), and access (30%): the share of appointments within two weeks of booking and the share of calls the practice answers, from NHS England’s latest monthly data. For Slough as a whole, with every rated practice counting equally, it is 73.0, against 77.2 for England (95% interval 69.2 to 75.5). Patients’ answers there, taken together, are below the England average. On average, practices there are 4.2 points below the England average (95% interval: 1.7 to 8.0 points below).
Of the 13 rated practices, none is clearly above the England average, which needs the whole margin of error for patients’ answers to lie above England’s figure.

The rating measures patients’ experience, how soon appointments take place and how many calls are answered, not the quality of clinical care. NHS England publishes the appointment and phone data as official statistics in development.
